It's Wednesday, which means it's clinic day at the Greater Cayuga SPCA. We brought in five cute little faces this morning. Thank you to Christina, Rachel and the whole SPCA crew 💕
😻😻😻😻😻

That's 36 cats fixed over three days of clinics from Waterloo to Syracuse, and now, after the craziest week, it's time to clean the traps, fold the towels, get back to our day jobs and maybe take a nap! 🤪

We have no words besides "OMG" and "THANK YOU, del Lago Resort & Casino !!!"2026 will be a busy, busy, busy year!!

What'd we do today, Tuesday? Well, first we dropped off 9 cats at a clinic run by the amazing Operation Healthy Pets in Waterloo.
😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻

And then? You'll have to "check" back for another post about what made today one of the best days we've ever had!!!

Thank you so much to the volunteers who made Operation Healthy Pets possible, and to our own Lynne who had a late night bringing kitties back to Auburn!

But wait, there's MORE to tell you about today! While twelve cats went to Syracuse to get fixed, the Greater Cayuga SPCA let us use their facilities to host our own clinic with Dr Paul Maza of FarVets - and we fixed TEN MORE cats!

This is going to be a wild week of posts so buckle up, cat friends!

Today, Monday, we brought 12 cats to Spay and Neuter Syracuse.

These four-legged residents from Case Ave, Wheeler Street, Owasco Street, Sheridan Street, South Street and Wallace Ave got snippity-snipped, vaccines, ear cleaning, and flea treatment.

Thank you so much to Xylem!
Brandy at Xylem reached out and has donated their break room's bottles and cans to us.
Last year they sponsored microchips and a kennel for the Greater Cayuga SPCA, too, so they are true friends of Auburn's animals and we are all very appreciative!

We'll use the deposit toward the girl in heat from Franklin Street (thanks for catching her, Kaolin!) and a mama from Swartout Road (thanks, Lonna!) who are at the SPCA today to get spayed 😻😻

This week, we had 8 spay/neuter appointments on Tuesday at Spay and Neuter Syracuse and then 2 more appointments on Wednesday thanks to Greater Cayuga SPCA. Trapping is truly a crapshoot -- perhaps we could call it a trapshoot? -- and we accidentally trapped too many cats on Monday night. The folks at SANS were super gracious about it and managed to squeeze in a few extra cats in their already busy day, so we were able to bring in a kitten from Van Anden and a lovey tomcat from Brogan Manor to the SPCA on Wednesday.
Please enjoy this photo dump of our adventures!

Besides the clinic staff and volunteers, big thanks go out to the caretakers and trappers this week: Ashley B., Karen L., & Ron B.; Lonna, Luke, & Adam; Jak & neighbors on Van Anden; Heather L. & Christina Martinez; Cheryl Ford; Kayla and her mom Jackie; and Karen Walsh and Claire Lovell of ACC-TNR. Teamwork! 😻

We know looks aren't everything but it amazes us to see just how pretty some of these community cats are 😻
