Faith 💯👊🏽

Faith (from a scriptural standpoint) = taking God at His word. Knowing in reality that God will do, has done, and is doing exactly what His word declares. Your faith does not make it reality. It is already a reality. Faith simply enables us to lay hold of and experience that reality as it is in truth.

There have been times in my life where a family member declared they were giving me $100. That $100 already existed as reality before the paper bill was in my physical possession. Yet even before it was in my hand I moved forward as if it was mine, believing it was mine, and taking actions as if it were in my physical presence. I then drove over and picked it up, or received it in the mail but all the while it was as if I already possessed it because in reality I did. It was mine. Imagine if I didn’t believe the declaration...imagine if I doubted the gift giver. I would never realize the wealth, nor be able to appropriate the benefits of the reception of that wealth.

If we can believe the faulty promises of man...If we can trust in the fading riches of earthly treasure...How much more should we grasp and lay hold of the unfailing promises of the Almighty Creator?

Lay hold of the promises today...take hold of His word believing and knowing without wavering, that it is exactly as is declared in the word of God.
