Wowee!! A big donation that will help so much!! All those boxes in our last post were stuffed with food ❤️

We are calling this anonymous donor “The Furry Godmother” 🧚 as the kitties were blessed right in time! We have been flying through wet food between our rescues, TNR cats during recovery, and all the colonies we feed daily. We are currently filling in for a friend who feeds at a local mobile home community and bank while she is healing from an injury. So we have 7 locations right now of ferals to feed. As you can imagine, the amount of cans and dry food we are going through daily at this moment is INSANE. So being surprised with this generous donation couldn’t have come at a better time!! ❤️❤️❤️. Thank you Furry Godmother for helping us keep bellies full and kitties happy. ❤️❤️🧚🧚🧚

Welcome to CHIQUITA CONDOS 🍌🍌🍌 Boxes truly are the best entertainment for kitties. We recently received a beautiful, large donation of goods which arrived in these banana boxes(we will post soon, yay). While unloading the products, so many cats were having a blast jumping in and out and running around them. We casually joked it’s their banana houses — and then the creative juices started flowing, so here ya go. Enjoy the photos of prized real estate, new construction called CHIQUITA CONDOS located at the intersection of Banana Boulevard & Bay. Amenities include private beach stocked with fish, Kitty treadmill wheel, catnip in every condo, special needs inclusive and an exclusive rooftop penthouse. A few of the many kitty tenants shown are: Wyatt (tripod), Flower boy (blind in one eye), Gata (cancer kitty, asthma treatments), Handsome (was bottlefeed as orphan at 2 days old, momma deceased), Huggie (fiv+ from hoarding case), Whopper (found at Burger King as baby and wears a support shirt for anxiety), Cinnamon (returned after adopter caught trying to resell her). Lasagna (FIV and deaf in one ear), Little O (1eye), Sylvester (returned, multiple polyp surgeries), Kermit (returned), Chunk (one eye and chronic sinusitis) and Kiwi (blind/cerebellar hypoplasia) in the penthouse. I’d like to write she’s enjoying the view, however, she is completely blind but totally fearless. We found her as a baby wandering around a post office parking lot/home. ADOPT ME! Trotter! ❤️❤️

A handsome swirly frizzy haired boy who doesn’t let Cerebellar Hypoplasia stop him from getting all the cuddles and living life. He is such a mushy ragdoll blob cat who is more than happy to lay in your lap collecting tickles purring all day long—you may get some kitten drools 🤭. Seriously, he is SO CALM! He does have occasional playtime zoomies, but compared to most kittens, he’s just a calm snuggler. He is so trusting and loves being held like a baby. He has stolen our hearts completely and he will steal yours too… I promise!

Trotter has a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia. His case is considered mild. It makes him a little wobbly on his feet at times and his head gets minor shakes especially when he’s excited. Health wise, it’s nothing to worry about and our vet says it will not worsen or anything like that as it’s caused by a virus when the momma was pregnant or he was very young. The only special care he needs is making sure there aren’t any big drop areas like a 2nd story open railing where he can misstep and fall. He’s a little on the thin side still, so making sure he gets good nutrition and lots of treats is a must. Other than that, he is a normal kitten 🐱!

Trotter has been neutered, fiv/felv tested, dewormed, microchipped, rabies and fvrcp vaccines. It’s hard for us to judge his age because he was so malnourished when we rescued him but he is very small. If I had to guess, maybe 5 months- ish?? ADOPTED! CLOVER!!! 🍀

A beautiful kitten who found her dream home— the stories that make it all worth it! Her gorgeous photo caught the eye of Delaney and her mom Lynn. We were so excited when we heard they were thinking about adopting her because we have adopted in their family before. Lynn’s other daughter Haley adopted Funfetti from us😬😬. Seeing how loved and spoiled Funfetti is, we knew any kitty would dream of being part of their family. Delaney, Haley, and Dylan met us over at Victorias house to meet all the rescues Erica and Victoria were fostering. She really loved Clover, who was acting a bit shy, and another kitten, but wanted to really make sure she made the right choice. Sometimes it’s best to go home and sleep on it and that’s exactly what she did. Delaney went back with her mom Lynn for another visit and Clover was the lucky girl!!

I spoke with Lynn to find out how she’s been doing and here is what she had to say: “We kept the name clover because our farm is 4 Leaf Farm! But honestly she has a few nicknames. Teeny weeny- bc she is so small compared to our 2 other cats Copper and Lacey. Stinky Minky- bc that’s what Delaney’s older sisters called her. Delaney is so much n love with her. Clover is very sweet and affectionate with all of us and is always trying to play with our older cats. The first day we had her, she was shy and hid. But when our female ragdoll cat -Lacey - came out-Clover came out and followed her everywhere! It’s was like her new mama. Clover has a big appetite and meows loudly until she is fed. “. She also told us she loves her just as much as Delaney does😜!!! Yayyy!!

Another kitten saved from being outdoors and brought in to the safe, loved, spoiled life! Thank you so so much Delaney and Lynn for coming back to adopt and for opening your home to sweet Clover. And again a huge thank you to Erica and Victoria for fostering all the kittens found on their property. They went above and beyond to make sure they were safe and cared for. We still have 2 more adoptions from that group to share too! ❤️❤️

Elliot visits the eye dr again! 👀👀….and adopted blind kitty Tickles too!!

Elliot saw Dr Pentlarge, the eye specialist, a few days ago to check in on the treatment of his eye. In case you missed it, we are hoping the one eye can be saved because she determined he has slight vision. We would hate for him to lose the eye if he doesn’t have to and will fight to keep it….but the eye is pretty damaged and it is still a possibility. We are continuing his regimen with even more eye drops added in 4x per day. His next visit is in one month. I will post more about adoption info, but we would love for Elliot and ET to find a home together locally where we can work out a plan for his eye situation.

Speaking of… when Tickles (now Cannoli) was adopted recently, we had the same deal going. Last visit, Dr Pentlarge didn’t want to race to take his eye out, though she said it might need to be removed. We told his new mommy we would cover the cost of his follow up visit and his eye removal surgery if Dr Pentlarge said he needed it. His mom told us his eye has flared up a lot recently so his appointment got moved up— and the eye has to be removed 😭😭😭. So he is being scheduled. She said he has no pupil, zero vision, and the eye is probably bothersome at this point. We were hoping against all odds, but Dr Pentlarge is an expert with decades of experience and always tries to save the eyes too— so when she says it needs to come out, it needs to come out! MORE TNR kitties and no more babiessss! Whoohoo!!! TNR- trap neuter return is the very best thing you can do to help the overpopulation crisis. Trust me, you don’t want to come across or have a litter of kittens in your yard— are they cute?? Yes!! BUT when you see the litter go from 5, to 4, to 3 watching them suffer and pass….and then scramble to find help and everyone is full, it is NOT fun. Shelters are overwhelmed. Rescues are full. Best thing is prevention— it also makes for less transmission of disease, decreased risks for cancer, and less fighting and territorial issues.

TNR is affordable at low cost clinics or even FREE in some counties. Please don’t wait until it’s too late— get them fixed NOW! If you need more info, contact us. ❤️

It’s been crazy with our vet visits and specialist visits and we have some bigger surgery bills coming up. So we want to thank each and every one of you for helping us make this possible. We also acquired more feral communities we discovered that we are feeding daily so the amount of food we go through daily between them and the rescues is crazy. Every little bit adds up and means more to us and them than you know!!

Thank you Erica S and family for the very generous donations of paper pellets, dry kitten food, and wet kitten food, $$ funds, and more to come. We have been stopping in to feed their kitty crew while they were away and that is just too sweet to send so much as a thanks! They did so much fostering all those 12 kittens from their new property ….and we are happy to announce that every single kitten found a wonderful home thanks to teamwork!! We also TNRed the adults. Great job and thank you Erica and Victoria!!
