"Maine is nearly dead last in what is arguably the most important category of them all. Then we wonder why so many young Mainers leave the state to start their careers elsewhere. Maine needs more opportunities across every industry because the current situation simply isn't sustainable."

Couldn't have said it better ourselves, WBLM . Keep rocking and raising awareness!

Maine's education system has real problems. About one in four fourth graders reads at grade level nationally... Maine's numbers are not an exception. Per-pupil spending has grown significantly over decades.

This is unacceptable. So, what are the Democrats running for governor going to do about it?

When an ad supporting one candidate was paid for in part by a school choice group, the others attacked him for it, and he promptly distanced himself.

That tells us a lot.

NONE of them are interested in giving parents more power over their kids' education, but that's the way out of this mess. Families know their kids much better than politicians and bureaucrats!

We need leaders who will empower families, not force them into a system that is failing their kids. If you agree, share this post with your friends!

Maine ratepayers are already paying for the mountain of energy mandates Troy Jackson and other politicians forced on us over the years.

I've seen what those costs do to families' electricity bills.

Tell him we don't need any more mandates. Mainers need more reliable energy to truly lower costs!

This isn't good. Maine is dead-last in business applications per capita last year. 50th out of 50.

Our state's GDP growth was also weak in 2025, bottom of the pack of all states. Economic forecasts show very slow or flat job growth through the end of the decade as well.

Democrat leadership in Augusta has failed Maine people. But WE CAN turn it around!

Join Lead Maine today and help build a future where all can prosper!

"A population that feels its safety is threatened is often a population ready to give up its rights. The government will constantly use the justification of more safety to bring about fewer rights." ‒ Michael Kebede, ACLU of Maine

What does the surveillance network near you actually look like?

The DeFlock map shows automated license plate reader cameras nationwide, including Flock cameras now appearing in Maine towns. Zoom into your area and count how many fall on your daily route.

Then watch this week's Speak Up podcast. Laurel sat down with Michael Kebede and Alicia Rea from the ACLU of Maine to talk about what these cameras capture, where the data goes, wrongful arrests, facial recognition risk, and why this conversation is happening in Maine right now.

The episode is out today. Share it with your town council. Share it with your neighbors. And check that map. Full episode in the comments.

is running for governor with the endorsement of ' Democrat Socialist "".

His energy platform reads like a DC progressive's wish list... expanded collective bargaining, paid family leave mandates, and more wasteful "clean" energy jobs programs.

Maine ratepayers are already paying significantly more than most of the country for electricity, a direct consequence of renewable energy mandates foisted on Maine over the past decade. Politicians like Troy Jackson caused this mess, and his only solution is to pile more mandates on top of the ones already raising our power bills.
