August Volunteer of the Month

We’re proud to recognize James Cleveland James Cleveland as our August Volunteer of the Month.

James has been one of those volunteers we can consistently count on to show up wherever help is needed. Throughout August, he volunteered at 11 different events and put in 47.5 hours across five different Cycle Therapy programs and activities.

From Summer Ride in Auburn and Summer Camp in Buckley, to the SeaTac Beginner League, the SeaTac School Open House, and spending his own time helping us build bikes, James has been willing to jump in and help wherever we need him. He even signed up for the SeaTac BMX Beginner League.

And those 47.5 hours don’t include the time it takes just to get there. James logged another 14 hours and 340 miles traveling to support our programs this month.

What stands out most about James isn’t just the number of hours. It’s his consistency. When there’s work to be done, kids who need help, bikes that need to be built, or an event that needs another set of hands, James continues to show up.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have volunteers like James who believe in what we’re doing and are willing to give so much of their own time to help make it happen.

Congratulations James, and thank you for everything you continue to do for Cycle Therapy and the kids and families we serve.

A great weekend of racing River Valley Bmx Racing Rally at the Valley! The team did great and brought home some hardware. We even had some of our MTB team riders trying out BMX for the first time. July Volunteer of the Month: Oliver Waller! oliwally867

Please join us in celebrating the amazing Oliver Waller, our July Volunteer of the Month!

At just 11 years old, Oliver has already made a huge impact—contributing an incredible 34 volunteer hours across nine sessions this month alone!

From supporting Summer Camp programs in Buckley and Auburn to lending a helping hand at Auburn Rec & Roll, Oliver has shown outstanding consistency, energy, and versatility wherever he’s needed.

His enthusiasm is contagious, and his willingness to jump in and help has truly made a difference for our programs and participants.

We are so grateful for Oliver’s hard work, dependable spirit, and inspiring dedication to our community. Way to go, Oliver—you’re a star!

A Call for Community Support
As we ramp up for our busiest season yet, Cycle Therapy Racing is asking our community for help reaching one major goal:
A second trailer and mobile setup.
The bad news? Our current fleet of bicycles, helmets, tools, and equipment has officially outgrown a single trailer.
The good news? With a second trailer, we would be able to serve two communities at the same time — doubling our impact across the Puget Sound this summer.
This season is shaping up to be our biggest yet, including:
- Free summer bike camps
- Community group rides
- Mobile repair van stations(newest project)
- Beginner BMX programs
- Youth mentorship and outreach events

We are currently working with multiple cities, schools, and BMX tracks to expand our programs across the Puget Sound region up to 5 days per week throughout the summer.
Every donation directly helps us provide:
- Bicycles
- Helmets & safety gear
- Repair tools & transportation
- Access to healthy, positive activities for youth and families
