Hello Strides family. Even though we are not hosting the walk in Auburn, we are still doing everything we can to be part of the Strides For CJD tradition. It's been hard to stop hosting. Our family will be joining the Bakersfield walk this year on 10/6. I was just made aware that there is a walk in LA this year too. I know some of you have come up from there, so please consider joining thier walk.

November 12th is International CJD Awareness Day. If you have it, wear one of your Strides for CJD t-shirts to spread awareness.

We can continue to honor those that we love and lost to this horrible disease on this day, and every day.

Our Auburn event this year raised over $6100!!! Every penny goes to the CJD Foundation and hopefully we will find a cure one day. There is a treatment already in the works and was recently anounced. This is all due to funding research and partially from the money donated and raised by the Strides For CJD walks each year. As of today the walks nationwide have raised over half a million dollars this year. There are still more walks around the country this weekend.
Thank you to everyone that donated and joined us and raffled with us.

Thank you to everyone that came and that donated and that helped to make Strides For CJD - Auburn 2023 a success. Though it was a hot one, we made the day an amazing one. The raffle took so long because we had so many amazing prizes. Thank you so very much!!! It's been an honor to bring this walk to Auburn for 5 years. I've made some lifelong friends and new family along the way. I did it for Rita's sake.

I mis-spoke when I said you could register through tonight at 9pm PST. It was 9am today that the online portal closed. My apologies. Sooo, online registration is closed but it only takes a few moments to register in person on the day of the walk. We accept cash and credit card only.
We look forward to seeing, hugging and striding with everyone that comes.

Please read in full:
Strides for CJD - Auburn will take place on October 7th, 2023 at the Regional Park (formerly known as Chana Park) in Auburn. Show up at Ball Park A, on the west corner of the park by 9am. Actual Park address is 3770 Richardson Drive, Auburn.

9am - Registration begins, check in, pick up your t-shirt, help yourself to refreshments and look at the raffle prizes. Purchase raffle tickets and enter into any item's raffle as you choose. Some free item giveaways will be available as well.
10am - Opening remarks and then the walk begins.
Raffle to follow within about 10 minutes of the last person to finish the walk.
Please bring a favorite picture of your loved one to the walk. If you want to bring a sign to honor your loved one to carry during the walk, we encourage that.
