🌟 National 4-H Week: How It Started, How It’s Going 🌟
From a young 4-H’er to Hall of Fame honors, Betty Gottler embodies the spirit of 4-H. A 2017 National 4-H Hall of Fame Inductee and retired 4-H Agent, Betty’s journey was shaped by purpose, passion, and a deep commitment to youth development.

“My years in Extension and 4-H started long before I had a paying job. 4-H opened worlds I never knew existed. I am thankful for each child, and their family, that crossed my path and the adventures we conquered. I continued to work, To Make the Best Better.”

This National 4-H Week, we celebrate the legacy of leaders like Betty and the bright future of 4-H youth across Alabama and beyond. 💚

National 4-H Week is being recognized on Capitol Hill! 🍀

Bipartisan resolutions have been introduced in both the U.S. House and Senate—bringing national attention to the work of 4-H and Cooperative Extension to prepare young people to be Beyond Ready for work and life.

In the House, the resolution was introduced by the bipartisan Co-Chairs of the Congressional 4-H Caucus. In the Senate, 4-H Caucus Co-Chairs Senator John Boozman and Senator Amy Klobuchar led the effort, with more than 30 senators joining in support.
