The Maintenance Superintendents Association (MSA) is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to ensuring the health and safety of the public. This is accomplished by fostering the dissemination of knowledge and experience pertaining to the operation and maintenance of public facilities among it's membership. The Los Angeles and Orange Area Chapter totals over 450 members including public

agency supervisors, superintendents, managers, directors, staff, salespersons, and vendors of equipment, materials and services.

Last Tuesday was our Administrative Assistant Appreciation meeting held at the Reef on the Water in Long Beach harbor close to the Queen Mary. We were charmed by the comedian Paula Faust. Not only was she funny, she was the person who originally hired our current chapter president, Marlin Munoz. Her main focus was on retirement and poor Marlin.
We were surrounded by an abundance of hard working support staff, all of whom were honored to receive a handmade candle.
