Everyone - students, staff, parents/guardians, grandparents - is invited to our Book Club Pop Up at the Back to School Bash! Bring a book and join us at 6:30 by door 10. We will do some silent reading and then we can just hang out and talk about the books we've read this summer. Everyone who brings a book and reads with us will be entered into a drawing for a prize!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We’re looking for some fun, creative people to help us spruce up the blacktop at the elementary playground!

We have everything you need — we just need YOU and your creativity! Whether you’re artistic or just want to come help make our playground a little more fun for the kids, we’d love to have you!

We were so excited to host incoming Waterloo kindergarteners at Safetyland! Our new students learned about kindergarten kindness, fire safety, playground safety, lunchroom etiquette, 911/Emergency, bus safety, and traffic safety with some awesome homemade cars!

A special thank you to all our community partners and experts who came out to work with our students, including our new Waterloo Elementary principal, Ms. Kirkbride. We appreciate you!

And a BIG shout out to PTO member Kelsey for putting together the program and all our PTO members who worked so hard to put on this event. Together we can do great things for our Waterloo students! Please consider joining PTO and being a part of this great group of like-minded and dedicated volunteers.

🚨 SAFETY LAND IS NEXT WEEK! 🚨

If you have an incoming 2026–2027 kindergartner, don’t forget to sign up for Waterloo Vikings PTO Safety Land! ❤️

This fun two-night event helps kids get excited and confident for kindergarten with hands-on activities, local safety experts, a certificate of completion, and our favorite activity—building a wearable cardboard car with an adult! 🚗

📍 Waterloo Elementary School
💲 $10 per child (payable at the door)

We sincerely apologize that many of our Fun Run T-shirts have not made it to everyone yet. After looking at the cost of mailing them, we’ve decided the best use of our PTO funds is to wait and distribute the remaining shirts at the start of the school year.

We know this isn’t ideal, and we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience. We are already planning to change the distribution process next year so it’s much smoother for everyone.

If you would like your shirt before school starts, we’re more than happy to arrange a pickup—just send us a message! I will also have the remaining T-shirts and the pickup list with me at our July PTO meeting at the Atwater Park Pavilion, so you’re welcome to stop by and pick yours up there.
