Psalm 90 highlights God’s eternal steadiness as our dwelling place, even as our own lives remain brief and fragile. The sermon urged us to number our days wisely, seek our deepest satisfaction in Him, and rest in the Good Shepherd who gives abundant life. Psalm 91 reinforces that those who make the Lord their refuge experience His protection, favor, and enduring care.

Pastor Phil opened our summer Psalm series with Psalm 6 in a message called Rescued from Despair. He showed how David cries out, “Save me,” not just from enemies but from the weight of his own failure before God. David’s exhaustion—“I am weary”—captures the deep spiritual fatigue many believers feel when they’ve let themselves down. Yet the turning point comes when David declares, “The Lord has heard,” reminding us that God meets us with mercy even when our despair is partly self‑inflicted. It’s a powerful picture of grace breaking into the darkest places of the soul.

Jude closes his letter not with a command but with praise — and that is exactly where we end our four-week series. The God who keeps you from stumbling today is the same God who will present you blameless before his glory with great joy. He alone deserves all glory, majesty, dominion, and authority — before all time, now, and forever. Amen.
