❤️ **One year ago today, we opened the doors at 40 Emory Street.**

After years of serving our community from a small church basement, we finally had a place to call our own—a place built around dignity, choice, and hope.

In just one year, these walls have seen thousands of families welcomed, countless pounds of food shared, volunteers become family, and a community that continues to show up for one another.

40 Emory Street is more than our address. **It’s home.**

To everyone who helped us get here and everyone who has walked through these doors since—thank you. ❤️

**Happy one year at home, HFP.** 🏠

💛 We may not know if the wedding rumors are true... but we do know kindness is always in style. Swifties across the country are celebrating by donating $13 to their local food banks, and we thought Hebron Food Pantry should join the fun! We're officially in our Helping Era, and we'd love for our community to be part of it. A $13 donation may seem small, but together it can make a big impact for local families facing food insecurity. If you'd like to join the Lucky 13 Challenge, donate $13 and help us turn a little kindness into something extraordinary. Because no matter what era you're in, helping your neighbors never goes out of style. 💛 PayPal link in comments!

The centers are free to use, and no reservations are required. We also encourage everyone to check on elderly neighbors, family members, and others who may be especially vulnerable to the heat. A simple phone call or visit can make a significant difference during periods of dangerously high temperatures.

Friday, July 3 South Attleboro Fire Station, 1476 West St.

EXTREME HEAT WATCH ISSUED: Attleboro is expected to experience dangerously hot temperatures over the coming days. High heat and humidity can quickly lead to heat-related illnesses, especially for older adults, young children, individuals with chronic medical conditions, and anyone working or exercising outdoors.

Here are a few simple steps to stay safe:

• Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty.
• Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day, typically between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
• Take frequent breaks in air-conditioned buildings or shaded areas.
• Never leave children, older adults, or pets unattended in a vehicle, even for a few minutes.
• Check on elderly family members, neighbors, and anyone who may not have access to air conditioning.
• Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If someone becomes confused, loses consciousness, or has a body temperature above 103°F, call 911 immediately.

If you must work outdoors:
• Stay hydrated.
• Take frequent rest breaks in the shade.
• Work with a partner whenever possible.
• Watch for signs of heat illness in yourself and your coworkers.

The Attleboro Fire Department encourages everyone to plan ahead and take precautions before temperatures peak. A few simple steps can prevent an emergency.
