New Hope, Inc. A sexual and domestic violence agency serving 41 communities in southeastern and south central MA.

We seek to create communities free from violence and exploitation. New Hope works to create communities free from violence and exploitation. We offer emergency and supportive services for women, men and children who are survivors of domestic and sexual violence. We also provide comprehensive prevention education programming, and work with perpetrators to reduce future violence.

Physical abuse is just ONE form of abuse that can be experienced in a domestic violence relationship. At New Hope, we recognize seven types of abuse. Financial abuse, which occurs in over 90% of domestic violence relationships, is least often recognized.

Domestic violence involves utilizing harm to systematically gain power and control in a domestic or intimate relationship. It doesn't always involve physical harm or threats of physical harm. In fact, New Hope recognizes 7 forms of abuse in this kind of relationship.
