26% of gay men and 37% of bis*xual men have experienced r**e, physical violence, and/or stalking in their lifetime. Male survivors have difficult times reporting their assaults due to toxic masculinity standards in society and discrimination from support systems.

Here at New Hope, we support any man or male-identifying individuals who has experienced domestic or s*xual violence in their lifetime. If you or someone you know needs support, please call our 24/7 confidential hotline: 800-323-HOPE (4673).

When most people hear the term "human trafficking," they think of children in cages being transported or women being abducted off the streets, but the issue is much more nuanced than that! What we see as first responders to human trafficking can range from a landlord demanding s*x in exchange for housing to a teen being coerced into sending n**e images to get $$$ to preserve their Snap Score. We must widen our perspective of what human trafficking is so that we can remain vigilant & aware of this issue!

Remember: any type of labor or s*x act under pressure (force, fraud, or coercion) IS human trafficking!

Human trafficking is not just a news headline - it's a very real and pressing issue that happens, even here in Massachusetts! The data doesn't lie; human trafficking is a pervasive & under-reported issue in our state. That's why it's critical to recognize, respond, & refer survivors of human trafficking to resources.

The 2026 World Cup is coming here to Gillette Stadium this month! With crowds amassing to watch the game(s) and increased demands for hospitality & labor, comes the likelihood of human trafficking. We plan to kick off the summer with a human trafficking awareness campaign with the goal of prevention... and that starts with awareness!

Do you know what human trafficking is? What does recruitment look like? Or what to do if you're concerned that someone you know is being trafficked? Don't worry if you don't, because we are bringing this issue center-field!

June is Men's Health Month, an awareness month focused on supporting not only men's physical health but mental health as well. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 4.3% of men age 18 and older have experienced serious mental illness in the past year.

There is a silent crisis in men's mental health that tends to go unnoticed or unspoken. Men are nearly four times more likely to die by su***de than women, highlighting the urgent need to break the silence and support men in their health journeys.

Here at New Hope, we support all men who may have been affected by domestic or s*xual violence and are struggling with their mental health. If you or someone you know needs support, please call our 24/7 confidential hotline: 800-323-HOPE (4673).
