Attleboro Fire Department to Host Awards and Recognition Ceremony October 20: ATTLEBORO, MA — The Attleboro Fire Department invites the community to join department members, families, and city officials for an evening of recognition, celebration, and inspiring stories at its upcoming Awards and Recognition Ceremony.

The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Bray Auditorium at Attleboro High School, located at 1 Blue Pride Way, Attleboro, MA. Attendees should enter through the doors located in the rear courtyard area of the school.

The evening will recognize the dedication, professionalism, and bravery of the men and women of the Attleboro Fire Department.

Highlights of the ceremony will include:

Swearing-In Ceremony: Welcoming the department's newest firefighters as they officially begin their careers serving the City of Attleboro.

Promotional Recognition: Honoring department members who have advanced through the ranks and taken on additional leadership responsibilities.

Meritorious Conduct Awards: Recognizing firefighters for extraordinary actions, courage, and dedication in the performance of their duties.

Cardiac Arrest Survivor Recognition: Reuniting survivors of cardiac arrest with the firefighters and paramedics whose lifesaving efforts helped give them a second chance at life.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear remarkable stories of bravery, lifesaving actions, and the impact Attleboro firefighters and paramedics have on the community they serve.

The ceremony is an opportunity not only to recognize the accomplishments of department members but also to celebrate the lives saved, the families impacted, and the commitment to public safety demonstrated every day.

The event is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend, and members of the media are welcome to cover the ceremony.
