The Attica Community Food Pantry, a partner agency with the West Ohio Food Bank, served 38 families, which included 55 adults, 32 children and 25 senior citizens for the month of December. The First Baptist Church of Attica was in charge for the month of December.
On Tuesday December 9, Jennie Hoyles, Kathie Deal, Evelyn Langjahr, and Joel Featheringill packed food and personal products into boxes for our families. Joel Featheringill, Sean Dornan, Marcus King and Raymond Stephenson then helped unload the truck from West Ohio Food Bank and everyone worked to stock shelves.
On Tuesday, December 16, Jennie Hoyles checked in each family. Kathie Deal boxed up the eggs and meat for the families while Sheri Bogner bagged up fresh fruit from the Seneca East FFA for each family and Evelyn Langjahr served as “doorman”. The Seneca East National Honor Society youth volunteers, Logan Snavely and Kayleigh Walliser helped carry out the food boxes and load the vehicles. Lisa Daniel was on hand to provide guidance. Kathy and Raymond Stephenson helped distribute the children’s Christmas gifts from the Community Giving Tree program as well as coats, hats, and gloves donated by the conformation class at St. Gaspar and Legacy Life Enrichment. Thanks to everyone for all your help and generous donations.
A big thank you to all of those who help in any way each month, either by volunteering or making food or monetary donations. We could not provide for our families without your help. We are blessed to live in such a generous community.
