A few of our Chamber Ambassadors joined the Youth Leadership Atmore group as they traveled to Montgomery yesterday! Together, we toured the Capitol and sat in on legislative sessions in both the House and Senate, getting a firsthand look at debates and how a bill moves through the process.

We are so thankful to Casey Rogers for taking time out of her busy schedule to meet with our group, provide encouragement, and even offer job shadowing opportunities for those interested in a future in politics.

A big thank you as well to Chamber Board President Tripp Ward for helping organize this trip and for sharing your valuable insight with our students!

Our Chamber Ambassadors had their Public Speaking and Etiquette session this Thursday. We want to extend a huge thank you to Ms. Kristin Hellmich, Director of External Communications for the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, for reminding us that we are all already public speakers and for teaching us how important our voices truly are.

We are also incredibly grateful to Ms. Hope Lassiter and Ms. Michelle Amerson with the Atmore Public Library for putting together a wonderful etiquette lunch. The meal included several courses, allowing our Ambassadors to practice proper etiquette across a variety of dining situations.
