The Sarah James Fulcher Red Fish Tournament

Directions Website Contact the organization

The Sarah James Fulcher Red Fish Tournament The Sarah James Fulcher Redfish Tournament is an annually held non-profit red drum tournament.

This tournament is held in honor of Sarah James Fulcher, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 9 from semilobar holoprosencephaly, an abnormality of brain development in which the frontal lobes don't properly divide into the right and left hemispheres. Though Sarah James was taken from this world too soon, everyone who met Sarah was left impacted by her beautiful smile and contagious laugh. The drum fishing may have originally been the big appeal, but in just four short years the tournament has become a weekend-long festival! With a lively music scene you will hear everything from local artists to bands that are climbing the charts. There are multiple local food trucks, a silent auction, pig-pickin’, kids activities, and of course the fishing tournament.

The moment so many of you have been waiting for all weekend — our GT Davis skiff raffle winner is… drumroll, please… Justin Mason! 🥁

We could not be more excited for Justin and his son to get her out on the water for the first time. She’s headed to a local family who will get years of memories out of her. Keep your eyes open on the water — you just might spot her running by soon!

Congratulations, Justin! Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and helped make this possible. Every single raffle ticket bought supports our mission to give back to this community and this is what it looks like in action. 💙
