THANK YOU to everyone that braved the weather and came to enjoy the Atlantic Easter Egg Hunt Saturday morning!

Thank you to the MANY volunteers that braved the morning cold, wind and SLEET to spread eggs, set up signs, divide prizes, and clean up. We were set up AND cleaned up in no time!! 😻

We would also like to thank Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Hy-Vee for supplying lunch and beverages, our Trivium Life Services friends that prepared ALL of the eggs.

City Park is READY for the Atlantic Easter Egg Hunt at 10:30!! Bundle up and come hunt for eggs, candy, and prizes!!

MANY busy hands were at work in the Hy-Vee Deli and throughout Cass County last night executing the Christmas Box Program.

A HUGE thank you to Hy-Vee for donating boxes, gathering food, building the assembly line, and helping right alongside our volunteers.

The process went smoothly thanks to the Washington G.E.M 4-H group assembling 145 boxes in 25 minutes! It would have been even faster if we didn't run low on room as volunteer drivers arrived.

And we couldn't have distributed the boxes throughout the county without our 45+ delivery drivers. Together, we spread some much needed Christmas cheer.

Atlantic Rising, in partnership with Hy-Vee, will continue to lead the Christmas Box Program this holiday season. The program was originally started by West Central Community Action over 20 years ago. The Jaycees took the program over soon after it started and then passed the program to Atlantic Rising in 2018.

This program helps families and individuals in need of a Christmas dinner. Atlantic Rising members, along with community volunteers, delivered boxes to 140 individuals and families last year. With today’s continued challenges, we expect to see a continued increase in nominations this year.

On December 11th, members of Atlantic Rising and local volunteers will fill and deliver boxes of food items to families and individuals who can then use them to cook Christmas dinner.

☀️ What a summer it’s been for Atlantic Rising! 🌟

Our members have been busy giving back and having fun:
✨ We hosted a super fun Glow BINGO night at the Elks Lodge to raise funds for our Christmas Box Program.
✨ During Fair, we volunteered at the Cass County Fair - Iowa food stand.
✨ We made a splash by sponsoring a dip and attending the Sip & Dip Night at Sunnyside Pool!

We’re so thankful for the community’s support and can’t wait to keep the momentum going into fall. Stay tuned for what’s next! 💙
