Praise for a Purpose was inspired by Ashten’s love for Jesus, people, and music — and the dream of creating a place where community could come together through faith and encouragement. That heart continues to be part of everything this event stands for today.

This year, we are especially honored to welcome Donate Life at the event. Donate Life is an organization dedicated to raising awareness about the life-changing impact of organ, eye, and tissue donation. Through education, advocacy, and personal stories, they help people understand how one donor can save and improve the lives of so many others.

Because of generous donors, much like Ashten, and families who choose to give the gift of life, countless individuals are given more time with loved ones, renewed hope, and second chances they may never have had otherwise. The impact reaches far beyond a single person — it touches entire families and communities.

We encourage everyone attending Praise for a Purpose to stop by and learn more about how becoming a donor can make an incredible difference in the lives of others.

I think its time we reintroduce how Praise for a Purpose came to be...

This concert isn’t just about the music—it’s about the why.

Praise for a Purpose isn’t just something we created—it’s something we carry. It started with Ashten, our daughter, our sister, our friend.

Ashten had this beautiful way of loving people. She was the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need. Her smile lit up every room, and her laugh was the kind you didn’t forget. She made people feel safe, seen, and genuinely cared for. That was just who she was.

She had a deep love for Jesus and a passion for music. One of her dreams was to bring people together—to create a space where families and communities could come worship, laugh, cry, and feel God’s presence. That dream stayed with her, and now it’s what Praise for a Purpose is all about.

Even in her passing, Ashten continued to give. She was an organ donor, and through that, she gave others a second chance at life. That was Ashten—always giving, always loving, even to the very end.

This isn’t just an event. It’s our way of honoring her. It’s our way of sharing her heart with the world. Ashten is the reason we do this. And we pray that through this, others feel the same love she gave so freely.
