The Atlantic City Education Foundation (ACEF) was founded in 1987 by a group of educators and community leaders committed to improving the quality of education for Atlantic City's student population. The nonprofit organization addresses the challenges faced by an urban school district with high dropout rates, low test scores, and a mobile student population. ACEF collaborates with the Atlantic Cit
y School District to identify and mobilize resources for programs that benefit children and young adults, helping them to become productive workers, solid citizens, and lifelong learners. Their goal is to provide sound educational experiences and promote the overall wellbeing of Atlantic City’s children. ACEF’s programs focus on raising funds to support teachers and graduating high school seniors through its Teacher Grant Initiative Program, Higher Education Scholarship Program, and organized events throughout the year.
