LLI. Has partnered with The Division of
Hematologic Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) to directly support the doctors and researchers in their Leukemia research department. MSK is continuously developing novel approaches to pinpoint specific types of disease, and to target them with innovative treatments. LOVE LINDA SCHOLARSHIP
The Love Linda Scholarship is an award predicated on many of the principles that Linda stood for as well as what she taught and instilled in those who knew her. This scholarship will be a financial reward for a Lawrence High School Senior who exhibits the following:
High Moral Character - someone who the “faculty” as a whole can agree is a good person, is caring about others, and is involved in giving back to the community. Academic Prowess - someone who is of high academic standing and has particular interest in mathematics and the sciences. Athletic Enthusiasm - someone who is involved in one or more Varsity sports and shows the desire to both work as part of a team and compete. Extracurricular Participation- someone who is involved in clubs or music and who shows initiative and determination to do well in said activities. Linda never took no for an answer and was persistent and determined in all she took on. She never quit anything. She would have loved to help a student with those character traits.
