GHLA is the state's non-partisan trade association representing the lodging industry and its role in Georgia tourism, which has an impact of more than $69 billion on the state’s economy. Brian Kemp, GHLA’s program — Save Georgia Hotels — is an American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) Negative Economic Impact grant that will help hotel operators and hotel employees return to work. Funds used according to

the rules and oversight of the ARPA will be a grant, not a loan requiring repayment. GHLA members represent hotels from around the state and include national franchises and independent lodging.

BREAKING: Senate Bill 68 Passes!

GHLA is grateful to the leadership of Governor Brian Kemp, Senator John F. Kennedy, Lt. Governor Burt Jones, Jon Burns, and James Burchett for this historic win for Georgia’s business community! Thanks to your efforts in litigation reform, hospitality and tourism businesses, along with our employees and guests, are better off today.

SB 68, the major component to Governor Kemp’s comprehensive tort reform package, has officially passed, thanks to the leadership of Senate President Pro Tempore John Kennedy, Lt. Governor Burt Jones, Speaker Jon Burns, Representative James Burchett, and our dedicated members in the General Assembly.

This historic legislation will help stabilize costs, ensure fairness, and protect job creators across the state—including Georgia’s thriving hospitality industry. We are grateful for the tireless efforts of our elected leaders in making commonsense litigation reform a reality!
