This past weekend, ORJPA once again got the chance to puzzle with some kiddos at an Embrace Compassion event in Sherwood, OR!

Embrace Compassion is an amazing non-profit that supports children in cancer treatment and their families. Monthly gatherings at Pearl Street Urban Farm give children with cancer and their siblings a safe place to play and relax and just be kids.

August activities included feeding the farm animals, collecting chicken eggs, making ice cream & flower crowns, and jigsaw puzzling 🧩, among others! At the farm, Embrace Compassion helps families find joy and relief from medical trauma. To continue the magic at home, monthly boxes with farm-grown food and fun activities are sent to participating families.

To learn more, please visit embracecompassion.org. If you are interested in volunteering, please either email [email protected] or communicate via the ‘Send Us a Message’ function at the bottom of their website.
