Congratulations to our new officers and directors! 🎉

We're excited to celebrate Susan Adams as our incoming president, along with the officers and directors who will help lead the club through the year ahead:

Russ Wagner - Past President
Dan Gerding - President Elect
Michael McPherson - Vice President
Carlye Dooley - Treasurer
Emily Acker - Secretary

New Directors: Heidy Brusitus, Jorge Correa, Emma Smith, Dick Teters, and Jill Thornton.

Continuing Directors: Aytch Chaney, Tommy Herrington, Clay Prickett, Karen Sheldon, and Mason Stephenson.

Thank you to each of these leaders for stepping up to serve, and thank you to Lt. Governor Jonathan Brilling and Past President Tom Adams for making the induction ceremony so meaningful.

We're proud to announce that Susan Adams is the incoming president of the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta today! 🎉

Service runs deep in the Adams family. Susan's father, Tom Adams, also served as president of our club, and his leadership left a lasting mark on our members and on the communities we serve. Now, Susan carries that legacy forward with her own vision, energy, and heart for helping others.

Kiwanis is about serving children and communities, and Susan embodies that mission--as President Elect, she has already worked to forge new partnerships with local schools serving the unhoused children of Atlanta, and we are excited for what the year ahead will bring under her leadership.

Please join us in congratulating Susan and welcoming her into this new role. We can't wait to see what we accomplish together! 💙

Tomorrow, Russ Wagner passes the gavel as President of the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta, closing out a remarkable 2025-26 term. 👏

Thank you, Russ, for a year of steady leadership, real heart, and a relentless focus on serving the children and communities of Atlanta. Because of your dedication, our club has been able to do more of what Kiwanis is all about: showing up for kids and making our city better.

Leaders like Russ remind us that service isn't a title, it's a habit. We're grateful for every meeting, every project, and every moment you gave to this club.

On September 27, KCA member Tom Adams and his brother Howell were among the 25 “Profiles of Positive Aging” honorees named by Leading Age Georgia at a special event at the Atlanta History Center.

The honorees exemplify what it means age positively with active engagement in meaningful pursuits and deep connections to family, friends, and community. They are pictured below with Tom's fellow Kiwanian Debi McNeil, CEO of Canterbury Court.
