MARTA’s recent changes have sparked conversation across the city. Rather than seeing this only as disruption, we believe it’s an opportunity to rally around one of Atlanta’s most important and special assets: our transit system.
MARTA connects us to jobs, schools, culture, and community. It needs support and creativity from all of us to succeed. Together, we can shift the narrative and strengthen the role transit plays in shaping Atlanta’s future.

This weekend we launched our first Urbanism Tour of the year with a deep dive into Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in Reynoldstown.

Huge thanks to David Melton and for leading such an inspiring tour, and to everyone who joined us to learn, walk, and explore together.

ATL ADU CO is on the forefront of building more vibrant and walkable communities with gentle density, and their work is a model for how Atlanta can grow smarter.

For more info on ATL ADU CO, visit their website at atladuco.com.

ADUs, also known as carriage houses, granny flats, or backyard cottages, are small secondary homes built on existing lots. They are a powerful tool for gentle density, creating new housing options without altering neighborhood character.

As part of the “missing middle,” ADUs make cities more affordable, flexible, and sustainable.

Urbanism tours connect ideas to place, and Reynoldstown’s ADUs show how design innovation can help meet Atlanta’s housing needs.

Stay tuned for the next tour, and let’s keep learning together.
