I have gotten to meet so many families of fallen officers recently, and my heart absolutely goes out to them. I understand grief and pain very well, and nothing, not even time, is the perfect answer for how to deal with such a critical loss.

If you lost a loved one in the line of duty, please know that you are not alone. We are here for you always, and our inbox is always open. If there are pictures or videos or stories you’d like to share that we can help share with the world, you are always welcome to contact us by direct message or email [email protected]

May 15th is marked as National Peace Officers Memorial Day, where this nation comes together to honor those who gave their lives in the line of duty.

This year is the first year in my career I have been so blessed to attend part of Police Week in Washington, DC. I am honored to have been able to participate in the reading of 363 names of fallen officers for 2025, and I am even more honored to have met with as many families and loved ones of our fallen who shared stories with me. I hope that I can bring some of those stories to life through these videos and help continue their legacy for as long as I am able.

May God bless our peace officers, those who are serving and those who have served. May God bless our Republic, for which it stands. And may God bless all those who mourn our fallen warriors.

Words cannot properly convey how honored I was to participate in this year’s Police Week Candlelight Vigil. To witness the 363 law enforcement officers’ that fell in 2025 have their names read for the Roll Call of Heroes was a humbling experience for me. It was the first time I have been here for Police Week, and being able to be a part of this and meeting so many families of fallen heroes was such a honor.

I was very fortunate to be able to attend this event. The Kermit C Sanders, FOP Lodge 13 hosted a law enforcement memorial ceremony tonight with the public safety agencies that keep Cobb County, Georgia safe. Also in attendance was the Georgia's Fallen Heroes Memorial, a fellow nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring all of Georgia’s fallen police officers. I am extremely honored to be a part of this law enforcement community.

Thank you to the Cobb County Sheriff's Office, Cobb County Police Department, Kennesaw Police Department, Smyrna Police Department, Marietta, Georgia Police Department, Kennesaw State University Public Safety Department, Acworth Police Department, Austell Police Department, Powder Springs Police, Cobb County School District Police Department, Cobb County District Attorney's Office, Cobb County Solicitor General’s Office, and Paulding County Sheriff’s Office for their tireless efforts to enforce the law and keep our communities safe. Thank you to the families of fallen officers who attended tonight. Your families’ sacrifices are never forgotten.

I travel all over the country to do these first responder funerals, and I have a wide network of police officers all over the United States and abroad that I am blessed to call family. I see the burnout and the frustrations of the job, the things that drive away good men and women from the job. I know of the hopelessness and the uphill battles fought, against poor leadership and admins, political leaders, the media, and even parts of the community. I have even been there myself, through bad politics and toxic agencies, and I thought about leaving the profession altogether.

And there’s nothing wrong with wanting to leave. Everyone’s time comes to end in this job eventually. Some by choice, be it by their own choice or by others. Others by time or circumstance, against their will and their want. There’s nothing wrong with finding life after policing.

But for those of you who are holding on and struggling to continue, this one is for you.

What you do matters.

The good you do matters.

Don’t let the terrible and negative thoughts win. Don’t let them destroy the spirit to do good.

There are good things in this world to fight for.

And what we do in life,

echoes in Eternity.

On April 10th, 2026, Alan Keith Miller (“AK”) passed away from medical event at the age of 65. A service was held today on April 15th to celebrate the life of service that he had lived for his family, his community, and his country.

AK was a US Marine at a young age, followed by a long career at the Atlantic Beach Police Department as well as an instructor for the Carteret County Basic Law Enforcement Academy. For 30 years, he was a very prominent figure in the North Carolina Law Enforcement community, and his legacy includes teaching hundreds of academy students over his three decade long career, starting the SRT team at Carteret County Sheriff’s Department, and being honored with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, honored by the Governor of North Carolina for exemplary service to the State of North Carolina that is above and above and beyond the call of duty, making a significant impact in strengthening North Carolina.

AK is represented by a long list of family members whom he found the greatest joy in being around. The love his family had for him is so evident, it is in the fingerprints of every memory of his life that I could find.

May a weary warrior who lived a lifetime of selfless service and love find peace and rest in the next life. May God bless his family, his friends, and all those who would mourn his loss.

Take it from someone who knows: Grief is the price we pay for love.

It is painful. It can feel so encompassing. It can feel so vast and never ending, like you could drown in it.

But that’s the price we pay for love.

None of us leave this life intact. We all have our time, each and every one of us. And I am so grateful to have felt the grief I had felt, the pain of loss as I have felt, because I just know that I didn’t hold back my love for them and neither did they for me.

It would be sad if it wasn’t sad.

For those grieving, I hope that the knowledge of how much you were loved and how much you loved them helps you find peace.

We are so proud to announce that we are officially an IRS-approved 501c3 non-profit charitable organization! That means every donation to our cause is a tax-exempt charitable donation under the IRS code, and we can now operate at our full capacity as a charity.

This started out with taking some pictures and videos at local fallen officer funerals so the families and loved ones would know those who have given their lives in honorable service will not be forgotten. And to see it grow to the point it is now...well, we're very honored and proud to have the opportunities to help where we can. We are so grateful to those who have supported us so far to get here and we are so excited to continue the mission on a bigger scale than before.

Please consider sharing and donating to our cause at the link below. Every dollar goes towards our mission - to remember, to honor, to support grieving families where we can, and to never forget those who have given their lives in service of others.

Thank you for a lifetime of selfless service, sir. Rest easy, we have the Watch.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Winnebago County Sheriff Office - Senior Corrections Officer William Atwood, who passed away yesterday off duty from medical issues at the age of 53.

In addition to his service to the community, Officer Atwood was an exceptional father and dedicated husband, who took pride in his family. Those who knew him will remember his dedication not only to his profession but also to the people he loved the most.
