WHAT A DAY IN FAIRBURN!

Our hearts (and your trunks) are absolutely full!

This morning at 11:00 AM, the community came together at VFW Post 6449 for our Feeding GA Families Grab N Go Market, and we were able to bless so many local households with grocery hauls!

Every single family who came through left with an incredible spread of fresh items and pantry staples to power through the week:

Celebrating Community Impact: Play It Forward 2026

We are still buzzing from the energy at the Play It Forward Champions Awards Reception

Feeding GA Families is incredibly honored to announce that we have received a grant from the Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority (AFCRA) for our Active Kids program. This marks our second year as a grant recipient, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their continued faith in our mission.

This grant allows us to keep moving the needle, ensuring that the youth in our community have the resources they need to stay active, healthy, and inspired.

A massive congratulations to all the fellow organizations recognized this year. Whether you are working to empower our **youth** or enhance the lives of our **seniors**, your dedication makes Atlanta and Fulton County a better place for everyone.

2026 Community BBQ
Event Date: Monday, February 9, 2026
Location: Southern Auto | Atlanta, GA

The 2026 Community BBQ Bash successfully kicked off the new year by bringing neighbors together for an afternoon of food, connection, and community support. By partnering with local favorites and sustainable brands, we transformed a simple lunch into a meaningful gathering that reached both local residents and the city's vulnerable populations.

Attendees enjoyed legendary flavors from Biggums BBQ, cooked over premium fuel provided by The Good Charcoal. To ensure everyone felt welcome, we provided high-quality vegan options alongside the traditional BBQ spread.

Community Outreach
| 100 additional BBQ sandwiches and snack packs were distributed to unhoused individuals after the event.
| Nonperishable Food bags and choices of fresh meat were also provided to families attending.
