We build beds for children in need, ensuring that NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®

09/18/2026

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers for helping bring Sleep in Heavenly Peace’s mission to life!

You’ve built more than beds — you’ve built comfort, security, and brighter nights for the children in our community.

So today, on National Cheeseburger Day, consider this your official reminder to reward yourself with a burger — you’ve earned it! Your time, dedication, and impact on our community mean more than you know, and we are forever grateful. 🛌🍔❤️

🚨🛏️ RAIN UPDATE 🛏️🚨

Due to the rain, Atlanta N chapters BAA build has been cancelled.

We’re disappointed that we can’t come together today to build—but the safety of our volunteers and families comes first. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who planned to volunteer, donate, support, or cheer us on. Your commitment to the mission of Sleep in Heavenly Peace means so much.

The rain may have stopped today’s build, but it will not stop our mission:

NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN! 🛏️❤️

We’ll share updates about rescheduling as soon as they’re available. Thank you for your understanding and continued support! 🙌🏽

🚨🛏️ TODAY IS THE DAY!!! 🛏️🚨

BUNKS ACROSS AMERICA 2026 IS HERE!!! 🇺🇸❤️

Today, communities across the country are rolling up their sleeves, grabbing their tools, and coming together for something BIGGER than building beds.

We’re building hope.
We’re building security.
We’re building better tomorrows.
And most importantly… WE’RE BUILDING DREAMS. ✨

Today, hundreds of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) chapters are joining forces for one incredible mission:

NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN! 🛏️❤️

For a child who has been sleeping on a floor, couch, or sharing a bed because there simply wasn’t another option, a bunk bed is so much more than wood, screws, and a mattress.

It means having a place of their own.
A safe place to sleep.
A place to wake up rested and ready to learn.
A place to dream BIG. 🌟

And THAT is what today is all about.

Thousands of volunteers.
Hundreds of communities.
Thousands of beds.
ONE MISSION. 🇺🇸

Today, we prove what can happen when people come together and decide that every child deserves a bed.

So whether you’re swinging a hammer, sanding a board, assembling a bunk, donating supplies, sponsoring a build, delivering a bed, or simply cheering us on—

YOU ARE PART OF SOMETHING HUGE. 🙌🏽

Let’s BUILD!!! 🔨🛏️🔥

HAPPY BUNKS ACROSS AMERICA DAY!!! 🇺🇸❤️

We are very excited to be preparing to participate in Bunks Across America for the first time as a new chapter in Atlanta! Building beds and delivering them into the homes of children sleeping without a bed of their own is an incredible experience and a very worthwhile cause! Bunks Across America is September 5-12, an annual event when all chapters across the country are encouraged to have a build! The goals this year are:
•Build over 12,000 beds
•Engage 15,000 volunteers
•Unite 250+ SHP Chapters across the United States!

We are actively participating in a joint venture with YMSL (Young Mens Service League) who is celebrating their 25th anniversary! We will be building 80 beds and engaging 400 volunteers!

Last Saturday we got 11 kids into their own beds! Thank you fantastic delivery crews for showing up over and over to bed these beds out to the kids!

Giving Tuesday - Our chapter is in need of "little girl" bedding. We appreciate all the bedding donations we receive but are extremely low on little girl and somewhat low on little boy. If you want to help, click the link and donate. It is that simple! The bedding item will be shipped directly to us! Thank you!

Today I was privileged to connect with Diane and Renee with AT&T Pioneers, Peachtree Council. They graciously donated bedding to us, including “little girl” bed-in-a-bag sets that we desperately needed! They do a lot of great work in the community and SHP Atlanta N was lucky enough to be included! Thank you, AT&T Pioneers!
