Historical Signing: The Armed Forces Museum (AFM).
Yesterday, the Nigerian Armed Forces has partnered with Empower 54 to immortalize and honor fallen soldiers with the establishment of a Nigeria’s first Armed Forces Museum on 10 acres of land.
It is not just another military museum, but a National Story of Unity, Sacrifice, Counterterrorism, and the Rising Role of Women in Peace and Security that captures the joint operations — Army, Navy, and Air Force working together — to defend the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In addition, a large percentage of its proceeds will go to support veterans and their families.
As an African Landmark, the Armed Forces Museum’s design fusion of technology, architecture, and storytelling will showcase Nigeria’s modern global relevance and create a powerful story of unity, resilience, and lessons for Africa and the world.
Present at the historical signing at the Nigerian Defense Headquarters on September 10th, was the Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa, representatives of all the armed forces service chiefs, Rear Adm. Olusanya Bankole, Chief of Defence Civil-Military Relations, and Air Vice Marshal Olatunde, the Chief of Defence Policy and Plans. Representing Empower 54 was Princess Modupe Ozolua, Empower 54’s Founder and President, Barrister Lorenzo Aligbe, and Yomi Odunuga.
