AMPC has received The Garden Club of America (GCA) Zone Civic Improvement Commendation, honoring the Conservancy’s leadership in restoring, enhancing and preserving Atlanta Memorial Park as a vital urban greenspace.

The Peachtree Garden Club proposed AMPC for this prestigious commendation.

The award was presented at the GCA Zone VIII Meeting on January 14, 2026, in Delray Beach, Florida.

Out in Atlanta Memorial Park today with Trees Atlanta and volunteers including Georgia Tech Delta Sigma Theta members, and Delta and datavant employees removing Japanese hops.

A beautiful day to be in the park removing invasives so that our native species can grow and thrive!

Thanks to the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and Mueller Water Products for coming out to Peachtree Creek in Atlanta Memorial Park today to remove trash from the creek. A great group of volunteers who care about our water!

An additional shout out to Bobby Jones Links and the Bobby Jones Golf Course Foundation for letting us access the golf course side too!

Neighbors and Park users - Several sections of the NW Beltline connector trail, spur trail and sidewalks in Atlanta Memorial Park will undergo repairs beginning next week - the week of March 31, 2025.

AMPC appreciates the PATH Foundation, City of Atlanta's Department of Parks and Recreation, along with support from council member Mary Norwood's office for bringing these needed repairs to the Park!

Depending on weather, the connectivity repairs will take approximately 3 weeks to complete with intermittent sidewalk closures required.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time to allow the PATH Foundation to complete the repairs in a timely manner.
