We are dismayed to see that a federal judge in DC refused to block the president’s executive order creating a voter list and limiting vote by mail.
As we said in April, we believe this executive order risks the right for every American to vote. Voting by mail is particularly important to the military and their families.
The Constitution is clear: the administration of elections belongs to the states, not the federal executive. This order puts the power to define the electorate in the hands of federal agencies with no accountability to the voters they would oversee.
