The Young and the Restless of Atlanta - Young Stroke Support Group

The Young and the Restless of Atlanta - Young Stroke Support Group The Young and the Restless of Atlanta – Young Stroke Survivor Group partner with Brain Injury Association of Georgia.

We are a community of stroke, aneurysm, and brain injury survivors and caregivers. Support groups are offered as a space where individuals can come together to share their stories, experiences and lives in a way that helps reduce isolation and loneliness. I started this support group 4 years ago to teach other survivors how become "active"; whether are focused getting back to work/employment or be

coming active in their local society, while on the road to independence.

“One of the risk factors for a difficult recovery after a stroke is social isolation. Humans are social animals; we need plenty of contact and connection with one another to thrive. But for brain injury/stroke survivors who may have a wide range of disabilities, social contact can be difficult—even when your family is helping.”

That is why this support group exists. We are the Young and the Restless Survivors, age is only a number. Please, don’t let "age" stop you from coming! We SAY, Young is a mentality, it’s not your age. https://www.ynratlanta.com/
