Founded in 1983, Shepherd Center Junior Committee was established as a fundraising and support organization for the next generation of philanthropists. While our name and objective of being a group for the next generation of philanthropists has stayed the same; our mission and goals have changed and evolved into a more mission focused group. This revamp means we keep Shepherd Center and its patients front & center when planning all fundraising events and volunteer activities. We are also prioritizing inclusiveness in social activities and promoting diversity amongst all backgrounds and ages. SCJC is a group made up of members age 21-39, that provides extensive volunteer, fundraising and networking opportunities for professionals. Candidates are highly ambitious professionals looking to make an impact in their community. They share a passion for the mission of Shepherd Center and donate their time, talents and ideas to help bridge the gap between I can't and I can for our patients. SCJC meets ambitious annual fundraising goals and works to increase engagement and awareness of Shepherd Center throughout the Atlanta area through fundraising events, volunteerism and other special projects.
