Founded in 1983, Shepherd Center Junior Committee was established as a fundraising and support organization for the next generation of philanthropists. While our name and objective of being a group for the next generation of philanthropists has stayed the same; our mission and goals have changed and evolved into a more mission focused group. This revamp means we keep Shepherd Center and its patien

ts front & center when planning all fundraising events and volunteer activities. We are also prioritizing inclusiveness in social activities and promoting diversity amongst all backgrounds and ages. SCJC is a group made up of members age 21-39, that provides extensive volunteer, fundraising and networking opportunities for professionals. Candidates are highly ambitious professionals looking to make an impact in their community. They share a passion for the mission of Shepherd Center and donate their time, talents and ideas to help bridge the gap between I can't and I can for our patients. SCJC meets ambitious annual fundraising goals and works to increase engagement and awareness of Shepherd Center throughout the Atlanta area through fundraising events, volunteerism and other special projects. We’re so excited for another year of fundraising for Recreation Therapy. Cheers to 50 Years Of Enchantment!
Join us at the legendary late-night celebration on November 1st, from 9:00 PM–1:00 AM, at Flourish in Buckhead. We’re toasting to Shepherd Center’s world-class care, healing, and hope since 1975 and a fantastic year of fundraising for the Junior Committee!

This Thursday, October 16th, join us for the SCJC October off-campus Member Meeting / Happy Hour with a friendly pickleball showdown at Bitsy Grant! The bunker is reserved from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, then we’ll wrap up the evening . We’ll have stocked coolers, paddles, & balls🍻🥒💪🏻 Feel free to bring your own as well.

The Junior Committee is excited to host Bingo & Brunch for patients and families in the family lounge on Sunday! This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with patients, share some joy, and have a great time!

If you’re a member interested in volunteering, please sign up through the link in our bio. Let us know if you’re coming and if you are able to bring any supplies from the list. We’d love to have as many volunteers as possible!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who made Shepherd Social a success!

We had an incredible time sharing all the incredible work the Shepherd Center does to help their patients. All the money we raised goes directly to the Recreation Therapy program to help patients turn “I can’t” into “I can.”

We can’t wait to finish the year strong with more amazing patient events and Legendary Late Night!
