. When you look at your ballot, you’ll see more than just names. You’ll also see offices with different responsibilities, powers, and limitations.

So what does the Governor actually control? What does the Secretary of State oversee? What decisions fall to the Public Service Commission? And what isn’t within the authority of these offices?

Here is a break down of the statewide offices on Georgia’s 2026 ballot and an explanation of what each office is responsible for — and what it is not responsible for.

📅 Georgia’s General Election is November 3, 2026. The voter registration deadline is October 5.

from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc

Two hundred fifty years later, America remains a nation of extraordinary promise and unfinished work.

As members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, we proudly carry forward the work of expanding opportunity, advancing justice, and strengthening our democracy for generations to come.

We celebrate freedom while acknowledging that it has not always been experienced equally. We honor those whose courage, sacrifice, and perseverance challenged our nation to become more just, and all who continue that work today.
