At Every Child Counts, we believe that caring for children also means caring for the environment they grow up in.

We are proud to have supported the installation of energy-efficient cooking stoves in our partner schools. These modern stoves use less firewood to prepare daily meals for hundreds of children, helping to reduce carbon emissions while creating cleaner and healthier cooking spaces.

Through this initiative, we are not only ensuring that children receive nutritious meals, but also promoting sustainable practices that protect our environment for future generations.

We are pleased to announce the successful resumption of Term 2 across our partner schools.All our sponsored students have reported back to school, and we are grateful to confirm that their school fees for the term have been fully facilitated. This ensures continuity in their learning and allows them to focus on their academic goals without disruption.

Meet Ann Wanjiku Wairure,

Ann is a former pupil of Waitua Primary School and is currently in Grade 10 at Mary Mount Secondary School. She has two siblings under the care of their aunt, who stepped in as their guardian. After scoring 53.78 points in the Competency-Based Assessments, Ann’s dream of joining a national school and continuing her education was hanging by a thread. Without support, her journey could easily have ended there.
Through our scholarship program, Ann was given a second chance to pursue her dreams. Today, she is in school, focused, hopeful, and deeply grateful for the opportunity.Her story is a powerful reminder that with the right support, a child’s future can be rewritten

Our pupils are back in school for Term 1, 2026. Because of continued support, children are in class, ready to learn and dream again.Through our programs, the school feeding initiative continues to support 705 pupils, while 67 students are currently on scholarship. This term, we are also excited to onboard 35 new scholarship students joining Grade 10, expanding opportunities and strengthening future.
