The Congresso Angolano de Fisioterapia Cardiorrespiratória e Cuidados Respiratórios – Angola Congress 2026 was a remarkable success and another important step forward for the advancement of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and respiratory care in Angola and across Africa.

The Africa Respiratory Care Association (ARCA) extends its sincere appreciation to Katia Assuilo Ortet, ARCA Board Member and Country Director – Angola, and her dedicated team for their leadership, commitment, and tremendous work in helping make this conference a success.

We also extend our gratitude to the organizers, speakers, healthcare professionals, partners, volunteers, participants, and everyone whose contribution made this important gathering possible.

When a mother’s life is at risk, every second matters—and so does every breath.

Postpartum hemorrhage remains one of the most serious maternal emergencies worldwide. But managing the bleeding is only part of the fight. Maintaining oxygenation, supporting ventilation, recognizing rapid deterioration, and working effectively within the emergency care team can be critical to maternal survival.

Join the Africa Respiratory Care Association (ARCA) for this important webinar as Dr. Peter Jaswilko EdD, MSRC, RRT-ACCS-NPS-SDS, RPFT, AE-C explores the vital role respiratory therapists can play in the multidisciplinary management of postpartum hemorrhage.

Donations directly support ARCA’s mission to strengthen healthcare capacity and improve patient outcomes across Africa.

From October 8–25, 2026, the Africa Respiratory Care Association (ARCA) will undertake its Healthcare Delegation to Liberia, working alongside healthcare professionals, institutions, government leaders, and local communities to strengthen respiratory care through assessment, education, collaboration, and capacity building.

This initiative reflects ARCA's commitment to advancing respiratory care across Africa by fostering strategic partnerships, empowering healthcare professionals, and promoting sustainable solutions that improve health outcomes.
