Ansley Park Conservancy, Inc. A conservancy for the betterment of Atlanta's city parks. Volunteers Needed! (Light rain is permitted).

Help enhance and preserve the 5 city parks within the Historic Ansley Park neighborhood as vital green spaces by working on monthly maintenance and operational projects with the newly formed Ansley Park Conservancy. Projects may vary from graffiti removal; invasive plant species removal; spreading pine straw; amenities maintenance efforts; protective fencing installation and removal; litter patrol

, water fountain, grills and bench cleaning; mulching, watering trees and shrubs, seasonal planting, and additional tasks as assigned. Projects are every 3rd Saturday each month, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm unless extreme weather conditions are present. Volunteer check-in begins at 8:45am next to Winn Park at: 32 Lafeyette Drive NE, Atlanta GA 30309 Volunteers must be able to perform tasks in all weather conditions, stand and bend for up to 2 hours, perform tasks on un-level ground and slight incline, lift a minimum of 5 lbs, and walk approximately 1/2 to 1 mile in the course of completing tasks in 268 acres of parkland. Volunteers must be at least 5 years old with adult supervision. Court-ordered volunteers are welcome with prior approval and disclosure to the APC operations director: [email protected].
