Call for Proposals for Sources 2026 is live!
The 2026 Sources Conference provides a space to deepen this work through research, reflection, dialogue, and action. More than a venue for presenting research, The Sources Conference is a convening place where diverse perspectives intersect, relationships are strengthened, and new possibilities emerge. We believe that education is a shared civic responsibility, and empowering learners begins by strengthening the relationships, institutions, and communities that make learning possible. Conference sessions will explore research, practice, and emerging perspectives that explore and advance conference theme through exploring the following strands:
Wellness, wholeness, and human flourishing through socio-emotional learning, mental health, culturally responsive and sustaining practices, healing-centered engagement, and whole-child development.
Student voice, agency, and authentic learning through inquiry, project-based and experiential learning, civic engagement, creative problem-solving, and the purposeful integration of technology.
Communities of Belonging by strengthening social capital and fostering meaningful partnerships among schools, families, community organizations, cultural institutions, and cross-sector collaborators that support every learner.
Educational ecosystems and community-engaged innovation that connect research, lived experience, and community wisdom to expand equitable pathways to academic achievement, workforce readiness, civic participation, and lifelong learning.
Responding to an Emerging World by exploring how educational ecosystems can adapt to rapid technological innovation, evolving workforce needs, cultural and geopolitical change, and the growing importance of civic engagement, ethical leadership, and lifelong learning.
Reflective professional practice and educator development through collaborative inquiry, professional learning communities, practitioner research, leadership development, and continuous improvement.
Partnerships beyond the classroom that cultivate a Community of Believers by connecting schools with families, higher education, community organizations, faith communities, businesses, and industry to strengthen collective responsibility for every learner's success and flourishing.
