Today we completed the "C7: From Surviving to Thriving" training focused on Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy (STST) and trauma care. What a beautiful experience it was.
Our class included incredible clinicians and helpers from all over the world: Singapore, Taiwan, Poland, Greece, Canada, and across the United States. As we explored the impacts of trauma, healing, connection, and what truly nourishes the human spirit, I was deeply moved by something simple yet profound: while we each show up in our own unique ways, at our core we are not all that different.
The energy in the room was warm, thoughtful, compassionate, and alive. The connections formed over these days were absolutely lovely. There is something deeply hopeful about watching people from different cultures and backgrounds come together around the shared desire to help others heal and thrive.
I continue to feel incredibly grateful for the people who make up the mental health world, and especially for those drawn to the transformational work of Virginia Satir. Her legacy continues to bring people together in ways that are deeply human, deeply relational, and deeply healing.
