đź’™ We traded the digital grid for a meet up!

The LDEI Atlanta Communications Committee took things offline this week for a much-needed happy hour at Wild Heaven Beer in Toco Hills. It was so much fun to see our Dame friends in real life, rather than through the little square boxes of a Zoom screen.

A huge thank you to our wonderful host, Dame Sarah Young, for her hospitality. There’s truly no substitute for the energy of real-time connection, great beer, hugs, laughter, and conversations.

💙 Women’s History Month Finale Post

And now for the final installment of our Women’s History Month series - we’re honored to celebrate the incredible women of our chapter who are making a powerful impact in media and creative fields across the industry.

Atlanta’s food and beverage scene is fueled not only by those who cook, grow, and pour—but also by the storytellers who capture and share the culture behind it.

From food writers, photographers, and editors to marketers, designers, and content creators, women in media and creative roles help shape how we experience Atlanta’s vibrant culinary and beverage community. Through storytelling, visual artistry, and thoughtful communication, they amplify the voices of chefs, farmers, makers, and hospitality leaders throughout our city.

While women are driving creativity and innovation across media and communications, they continue to advocate for visibility, representation, and leadership in these spaces. Here in Atlanta, women in media and creative roles are helping define how our food and beverage culture is documented, celebrated, and shared.

Tag a woman in media or creative work who inspires you. 📸✍️🎨

The future of food is being grown right now, by women. 👩‍🌾

Great food doesn’t start in the kitchen. It starts in the soil. Across the country and right here in Georgia, women are leading farms, building agricultural businesses, and strengthening the food systems that nourish our communities.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture Census of Agriculture:
• 36% of U.S. agricultural producers are women
• More than 1.2 million women help make decisions on farms
• Women are involved in leadership on 58% of U.S. farms

In Georgia, agriculture remains the state’s largest industry, contributing more than $70 billion annually to the state’s economy.

As members of Les Dames d’Escoffier International Atlanta, we celebrate the women whose work begins in the field and nourishes every table, from farm to chef to community.

Tag a woman in agriculture that inspires you (and stay tuned for the next industry in our series: Women in Media & Creative) 🌾

Welcome to Part 2 of our Women’s History Month series 👯‍♀️ Today we’re spotlighting the remarkable women who are making a powerful impact across the beverage industry.

From brewers and winemakers to distillers, sommeliers, beverage directors, and educators, women across Atlanta are crafting exceptional drinks, building thoughtful programs, mentoring the next generation, and redefining leadership in the beverage world.

While women represent a growing and influential part of the beverage industry, they remain underrepresented in ownership and top leadership roles. Here in Atlanta, women in beverages are helping pave the way forward—bringing creativity, expertise, and collaboration that continue to shape the future of the industry.

Keep following along as we continue this series, next up: highlighting the Dames in Hospitality, Agriculture and Media & Creative whose leadership, creativity, and passion continue to shape our city’s vibrant food culture.
