We were honored to welcome J. Lane Bearden, Pamela Childress and Jonathan Waters into the Hall of Fame.

They were inducted by their former students (and even children) with amazing speeches on how these three impacted not only their lives but the entire state of Georgia.

Congratulations to Dr. Stuart Gulley, the 2025 GFCA Administrator of the Year!

Dr. Gulley, President of Woodward Academy, has been a steadfast advocate for the school's debate program throughout his tenure. A former debater himself, he has worked tirelessly to support and advance debate at Woodward. Whether participating in public debates or co-teaching a public speaking class, Dr. Gulley exemplifies the qualities of outstanding educational leadership.

Congratulations to Elysia Tillman, the recipient of the 2025 J. Richard Bracknell Service Award!

As the Melissa Maxcy Wade Debate and Dialogue Specialist for the Atlanta Urban Debate League at Emory University, Elysia plays a vital role in supporting GFCA and AUDL member schools. Their dedication in the Digital Debate Center has made a lasting impact, with one coach sharing, "They have helped so much with getting my team off the ground!" Thank you, Elysia, for your service—not just to the AUDL but to the broader debate community. Your efforts make us all stronger.
