Congratulations to WEI Cohort 7! 🎉

What a powerful moment for Atlanta’s women founder ecosystem. Last week, we celebrated the graduation of WEI Cohort 7 — a dynamic group of entrepreneurs building boldly, solving real problems, creating jobs, and shaping the future of business in our city.

As the nation’s only municipally funded accelerator for women founders, WEI continues to prove what is possible when women entrepreneurs are surrounded by intentional support, strategic resources, and a city that believes in their success. To date, WEI graduates have raised $6.29M in capital and created 750+ jobs — and Cohort 7 is ready to carry that legacy forward.

Slow progress is still progress!

If you’re building something real, you already know that growth isn’t linear, and it rarely feels fast.

That’s why WEI exists: to support the process, not just the outcome. Join the community at weiatlanta.com!

Founders don’t need all the answers on day one.

But you do need direction and to stay agile enough to pivot because that’s what keeps you moving forward when everything else feels uncertain!

We’re excited to welcome Tope Mitchell, Ph.D. as the new WEI Executive Director and Director of Technology & Entrepreneurship at Invest Atlanta!

Dr. Mitchell brings a true 360-degree perspective—as a venture-backed founder (Techstars ‘23), educator, and researcher supporting Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies.

More importantly, her commitment to entrepreneurship is deeply personal as a fourth-generation entrepreneur who has seen how business can drive community impact and economic mobility.

Her leadership comes at a pivotal time as WEI continues to evolve into a more outcomes-driven ecosystem focused on growth, job creation, and capital readiness.

Help us give Dr. Mitchell and warm WEI welcome!

Stop letting people sell you a narrative about who you’re supposed to be as a founder.

Play to your strengths and fill your gaps—strategically.
And stop buying into frameworks that weren’t built for your reality.

Because the moment you define the game for yourself… everything changes.
