Yesterday was a big day. No More LeAkS!! Please pray all test came out positive (or in this case negative); no leaks were found and Carla can move toward say good bye to those pesky JP's! I will update you as soon as we learn the results. Please continue to Pray for healing. God is good!

I apologize, it's been a moment.

The past few weeks have been very busy. Carla continues to make progress as she keeps her bi-weekly doctor appointments. After spending a night in the hospital to have another drain inserted, they (the drains) are truly closer to being removed.

As of yesterday, the leak has healed. The bile still has to be re-routed to Carla's intestines but that will not happen for the another two weeks. At that time, dye will be injected to insure the leak has completely healed and there are no other leaks. Meanwhile, the original two JP's have 'dried-up'!!!!! Carla is visiting with the surgeon today and hopefully the originals will be removed. (Quick prayer everyone. NO MORE JP's!)

Carla is strong and thankful to God for all of her many Blessings. She knows there is a reason for her journey, a testimony that will be shared. The past 6 weeks have taught her a lot and she is ready for her next step forward.

Cathie also continues to recover. She is enjoying her regular activities. I am amazed at how quickly she healed and resumed her life. All of Carla's family and friends will be forever grateful to Cathie and Faye for their part in this journey!

Again, lift Carla, Cathie and Faye up in prayer. Give Praise to God for bringing them all together. You never know who you might meet and how much of a role they will play in your life.

Prayer warriors -
Carla spent last night in the hospital. She's home again today but we have to get busy. She has one bile duct that has a small leak. When the family met with the surgeon after her transplant, he said that might be a problem.

Please, when you go to church tomorrow, light a candle, ask your Intercessory Prayer Warriors to say a special prayer that all bile ducts close/ heal so that all of the drains can be removed from Carla's body.

She is not worried. As you can see from this weeks picture, her complexion is great, her faith is strong but prayer does what no one else can. God hears us.

Lord, your Word speaks promises of healing and restoration and I thank you for the miracles you still perform today...

"LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." ~ Psalms 30:2

Carla is doing well. She is glad to be home and getting into a schedule. One of her sons was home for a few days which was good for both of them.

On Sunday, Carla was moving around slowly being limited by staples and the jp's.

Three weeks and one day - post surgery at clinic visit. Thank you for all of your prayers! He's worthy to be praised! , , , .

Tuesday, the staples were removed!!!!!

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. - Isaiah 40:29
He keeps her strong!
One of the key principles in taking your life back is to recognize how powerless you are—on your own—to change. But that’s just the first step. The next is to recognize where the power you need will come from. Isaiah says it comes from God himself. And Zechariah echoes this idea: "It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord" (4:6).

Carla had her first follow-up appointment at 7:30 this morning. Overall, it went well. She has a small bile leak that appears to be healing, so she will remain on antibiotics.
She may now go out with infection control caution, (masks and a lot of hand sanitizer.) Her menu has been slightly expanded and those pesky JP bulbs are still around. Continue to pray the fluid slows so she can say good-bye to the JP's!
Her spirit and outlook are positive. God is in control.

She has checked OUT! Carla will sleep in her own bed tonight. Sit in her own chair. Let the recovery really begin. Now we have to keep her in the house.......close to home... God, help us..... Thank you Jesus!!!!
