Here is the moving prayer our own Mark Kelly authored for our luncheon and offered by Kathy Jones Testa:

Heavenly Father, On this beautiful day which you have given to us, we in this room want to thank you for your gifts of family and friendship.

Many years ago - Our Moms and Our Dads - Our Families - chose to send us to St. Pius X. They did so in order that we could become closer to you. Over our four years there, we learned much about You, not only from our wonderful teachers, but also from seeing your goodness in the faces and hearts of our classmates. Those classmates soon became our dearest friends. And suddenly WE were a family.

We thank you for both families. And we ask that you continue to care for and love those in each of our families, who have left us to be with You. We still see their faces, and we will always miss them.
Lord, as we sit here together as friends, we give thanks for our days at St Pius and we ask you to continue to bless our school. And we also ask that you continue to bless each of us.

And finally, we ask you to bless this food, as today, we once again eat together - as friends – and as a family. In your name we pray. Amen St Pius X Pray for us. Domini Sumus – We are the Lord’s
