Happy birthday to my beautiful, fantastic wife! 🎉 I celebrate you today and always.

You are amazing, sweet, and lovely. I've cherished getting to know you, and marrying you has been a joy. There's so much about us that I could share, but today, I just want to remind you how special you are.

May the good Lord continue to keep you strong and healthy, and may you continue to reach your full potential in life.

Rest is part of our design, but resist the temptation of converting your rest and breaks into a destination.

This post is written to remind us of a few things we know we may have forgotten. I encourage you to read to the end and you will be blessed.

But while breaks are necessary, don't turn them into permanent retirement. Like the parable of the rich man who felt he had got that much more than he needed in life and said that he would build a bigger barn -Luke 12:16, we should avoid idolizing comfort and wealth.

Taking breaks doesn't mean stopping entirely. Just as God rested, but continued His divine work, we too can find joy and purpose in serving others. Service is a key part of a fulfilling life.
So,

Here are three simple ways you can find rest and rejuvenate your body and your entire being.

Take short naps and sleep well, give your body rest from work. Sleep is one of the gifts God gave to mankind, we should use it to our advantage.

Finding your purpose in life is one of the greatest rest you will enjoy in life. ..And Jesus said Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28. When you find your purpose it touches across every part of your being; it takes you away from the pressure of trying to impress people, it can be a very stressful lifestyle.

Take breaks from people, and things around you that cause you distractions such as TV, News, your phone, food, your spouse, and the list goes! learn to create a personal space at some point in your life. Sometimes, absence has a way of increasing your value

Jesus had personal space in his lifetime ministry. He knew when to withdraw from people. Even when he has to pray.
Jesus at some point a personal space from his disciples.

It's important to keep in mind that you may not be able to accept every invitation, attend every meeting, fellowship, and even church activity, but remember to not convert your breaks into a permanent rest.

Take short breaks to recharge in 2024, but resist the temptation of converting your breaks into a comfort zone. Some people never recover from their breaks.
Share your valuable experiences and knowledge with those around you.
Remember, life is a gift meant to be shared. Enjoy the journey in 2024..✍️🏾Martin Kalu

Being in the right place at the right time is important to fulfilling our purpose. However, it's important not to let your position in life become an idol.

Remember, your position is temporary, but your purpose is lasting. If you focus too much on where you are, you might lose sight of your purpose.

Many people have missed their purpose or a significant opportunity on their life journey because they idolized their position.

Just like Adam and Eve were placed in the garden by God, their focus shifted from God to the garden, leading them to violate the law that kept them in the garden.

Treasure God’s direction more than the position or the destination itself, Life's fulfillment lies in purpose; So don’t trade it for a momentary position.

In 2024 may you be a good steward, who will treasure and maximize the gift of life, that God has given you, and may you be productive in all desired areas of your life. Peace..✍️🏾 Martin. Everyone

We like the word 'dominion,' yet it's important to understand that we're here not just to rule but to cultivate - not just the earth, but our family, spouse, kids, work, and every relationship we find ourselves. It's about more than just tilling the ground. It's the law of sowing and reaping.

In 2024, may we not leave people as we find them. If we can't influence them directly, we can sow positive seeds in them. Remember, you have the power to change the world by changing how you think and see people..Martin Kalu

Today, remember that your words carry immense weight—capable of birthing life or causing harm. Our tongue is a double-edged sword, it can build or destroy.

If you think your marriage is the worst in the world, then you activate the venom that will be used to destroy your spouse and your marriage by attacking your spouse with the thoughts and your mouth. don’t believe the lies fed by the enemy in your thoughts.

I challenge you to speak life over your life. Speak blessing over your family, bless and curse not, Use words to uplift and encourage others around you and beyond. this is a universal principle established by God during the creation. Your thoughts and your words today will become your future tomorrow. What you call that situation is what it is…✍️🏾Martin

How it all started

So, we saw this hit number one show on Netflix- Is Love Blind? and we began to think Hmm- this kinda sound like us. Like how we met. I (Chandy) agreed to Marry Martin without seeing him. Whew. I know I know what you may be thinking. No we didn't date in the pods or anything like that. We actually had a long distance relationship. At a time I (Chandy) lived in the States and Martin lived in Nigeria. So now you ask, How did we connect? Good question.

How it all started! On one occasion in September 2010. I don’t remember the exact date when I was at school, The University of Georgia. I got a call from my mom to inform me that I need to check my email because someone had sent her an email for me from a guy in Nigeria that wanted to chat with me. (Fate I guess)

Well, I thought it was weird although I had access to her email, my question was why should my email be in her inbox? Well, my mom being who she was told me, “Well, you will be there your husband will come and go”? “which kind talk be this?”. I was not looking for anything, but I just decided to check the email.

I saw the email, and it was from Martin and it was titled “A New Beginning,” and he stated that he got my mom’s email from a family friend in Nigeria and he would like to get my contact. So...... I replied to the email with my contact information. I requested that he doesn’t contact my mom again.
