Grateful that our time at Stanford encouraged an environment of curiosity and community. Day 2 challenged us to deepen our resolve to be stewards of the past and future. Stanford friends! Come out to support the WNBA and cheer on The Atlanta Dream on Sunday, May 24. The Atlanta Dream play the Phoenix Mercury.

The Stanford Black Alumni Association of Atlanta in collaboration with the Stanford Club of GA has reserved ticket blocks for the game at the Gateway Center Arena.

The Atlanta Dream enters the 2026 season riding momentum from one of the most successful years in franchise history. Atlanta finished the 2025 regular season 30–14, earning the No. 3 seed in the WNBA Playoffs and posting the highest winning percentage in franchise history. The Dream has re-signed Allisha Gray, Brionna Jones, Jordin Canada, Naz Hillmon and Rhyne Howard, the core group responsible for last year’s historic season.

Adding to the excitement of this season, The Atlanta Dream recently signed Angel Reese. Reese, a first-round draft pick in 2024, is a two-time WNBA All-Star and one of the most exciting players in the W. She has recorded 49 double-doubles and is the only player to average at least 12 rebounds per game in a season.

Great Day 2 at Stanford STARS with . It was wonderful to see old and new friends from around the globe. We are thankful for connecting with you.

Ask and about all the things we learned, how we collaborated and connected, and maybe about some secret handshakes!

In two weeks, we will be back for Summit! Tell Angel or Nicki that you love Atlanta and we will have a gift for you! 🤓

Question? Do you miss Stanford? Then volunteer for ! Thanks to SAA and for the chance to represent Atlanta on campus this week at STARS.

Started 25 years ago, The STARS Assembly (Saluting Top Alumni Representatives at Stanford) is a biannual event to honor alumni who have made notable contributions as volunteers to the University.

The audience is a select group of alumni leaders from the Board of Trustees, the Stanford Alumni Association, club leaders, class correspondents, and reunion leads. Invitations went out to 500 alumni representing classes in six different decades, and 250 are in attendance this weekend.

The purpose to honor and engage top alumni volunteers. We can learn about university challenges and initiatives such as housing, athletics, admissions, and growth. 

My favorite parts are the micro lectures! A quick dose of the Stanford that we love. Robotics, biology, political science, and psychology. 🌲
