The workshop organized last week emerged a total success as it brought together specialists across the country. Parents and caregivers acquired relative knowledge and skills to support children at home. This experience will help combat regress among others.

We join the rest of the world to acknowledge the international Autism awareness month which is dedicated to enhancing understanding, acceptance,inclusion and support for children with Autism. We celebrated 2nd April at kati kati grounds together with other stakeholders in the Autism fraternity. It was a day well spent.

A group of seventh day Adventist (SDA) Kisaasi paid a courtesy visit to our learning centre to share a moment of devine laughter, pleasantries and goodies to children. This kind of gesture carries a magnitude of selflessness and generosity.

Support systems in our local communities are so limited which culminates into challenges related to stigma and poor intervention strategies. Mujib is a 12year old with inadequate communication skills and behavior. By now he's neither recieved a standard diagnosis nor attended a therapy class.

Last week our team was privileged to present at the Rotary club of Uptown kampala fellowship under the theme "inclusive education; Unlocking literacy for children with special needs" Per se exhibited by Mr Enoch Mukiibi (OT) and head of therapy.
This highlighted the barriers children face in literacy, possible strategies and how stakeholders can create opportunities for inclusion.
Rotarians warmly embraced the show and presented huge interest to support initiatives that foster equity,education and empowerment (EEE). Thank you Rotarians

Intellectually challenged children need a free environment to demonstrate their adaptability.
