Westlake Aviation Club

Westlake Aviation Club Aviation Club is meant to inspire and expose youth to the many fields of aviation. We were started by the FAA in 2009.

We take aviation related field trips to numerous places around the city. We participate in RC flying for fun as well as building model planes. We are always eager to learn more about aviation.

Aviation Club Interest meeting set for Monday August 27th, 2012.

Attention all Westlake Aviation Club members. We will meet in front of Westlake High school this Saturday at 8:30AM. We will leave as one unit in our individual vehicles from Westlake and go straight to Flight Safety International. (Flight Safety Address Below) The attire for this trip is a white dress shirt with a black tie, black slacks, and black dress shoes. Remember, we want to look as professional as possible so that we may continue to get invited to places like this. Also, when we get there be sure to be on your BEST behavior. We will be attending a professional environment where people will be working so please don't embarrass yourselves, the aviation club, and the school. I don't know how long we will be there or whether or not they will feed us, so eat some breakfast before you get to school and bring your own money. Any questions just ask me. See you there!

Attention All Aviation Club Members,
We will have with us two Commercial Airline pilots from Delta Airlines that will speak with us about the airline industry this coming Monday, February 13th. We will most likely meet in Mr. Swans room, but I will keep you posted on whether or not this will be official. PLEASE report on time and make the necessary arrangements to be there. These are real aerospace professionals and we do not want to waste their time. So again please get there by 4:15pm! Also I am in the process of putting the logo on the shirts for those who have paid your dues. Flight Saftey told me that we may visit their facility on March 3rd. So again I will you posted if anything changes. Thanks!

Going to go see Red Tails this Friday @ ATL Movies, 7:30pm. Feel free to show up and join the rest of the club as we watch this spectacular movie. You will be required to bring your own money however for tickets and snacks. See ya there!!!!
