🇺🇸 IN HONOR OF FIRST LIEUTENANT TYLER JAMES FEEHAN 🇺🇸

The Department of Georgia American Gold Star Mothers mourns with the family of First Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan, who was killed in action on July 18, 2026, while serving our nation in Jordan.

Behind every uniform is a deeply loved son, a cherished family member and a life filled with hopes and plans for the future.

As Gold Star Mothers, we understand that a family’s greatest sacrifice cannot be measured only in words, ceremonies, or medals. It is carried quietly in the empty chair, the treasured memories, and the love that remains long after the final salute.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Tyler’s parents, Shari and Stephen Feehan; his fiancée, his family; his fellow soldiers; and everyone whose life was touched by his.

May they feel the love and support of a grateful community as they prepare to lay their beloved Tyler to rest.

First Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan served with courage and honor. His name, his life, and his sacrifice will not be forgotten.

The Green Star Service Banner was intentionally created to honor families of Veterans lost to su***de, families carrying a loss often connected to the invisible wounds of war and mental health struggles.

The Green Star represents:
💚 Recognition for families too often left unseen

The meaning behind the Green Star was created with purpose from the very beginning. No family should feel invisible.

The Department of Georgia American Gold Star Mothers would like to sincerely thank American Legion Post 160 for honoring and hosting Families of the Fallen.

It is important that Families of the Fallen feel seen, heard, and remembered. The sacrifice does not end with the service member. The families continue carrying that loss every single day.

American Legion Post 160 understood that.

They got it right, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

As Memorial Day approaches, we invite our community to learn more about the mission and heart behind the American Gold Star Mothers. 🇺🇸❤️

We are mothers who have experienced the loss of a son or daughter during military service — and yet we continue to serve in their honor through remembrance, community outreach, support, and education.

Our mission is not only to honor the fallen, but to ensure they are never forgotten. Behind every name is a family whose love continues long after the headlines fade.

Throughout the year, our department and chapters participate in memorial events, supports veterans and military communities, promotes patriotic education, and stands beside other families of the fallen who understand this journey.

As we move closer to Memorial Day, we encourage others to reflect on the true meaning of the day and the sacrifices behind our freedoms.
