The GFWC GLR is a part of one of the oldest and largest women's volunteer organizations in the world. Our GFWC Signature Project is Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention, but we do what needs done in our communities from scholarships to beautification to helping those in need.

The 2025 GFWC Great Lakes Convention concluded on Sunday with reports from the "Great 8" Presidents and Directors of Junior Clubs, a memorial service for our departed Great Lakes Region sisters, reports from several GFWC chairmen, an invitation to the 2026 GLR Conference in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and closing remarks from GFWC President Elect Wendy Carriker, GFWC International President Suellen Brazil and GFWC Great Lakes Region President Rose Logston. The conference was adjourned and we all went our separate ways...until we meet again in Scottsdale, Arizona, in June for the GFWC Annual Convention. Thank you, GFWC Ohio, for being such a wonderful host state and to GLR President Rose Logston for presiding over such a terrific conference!

Day 2 of the GFWC Great Lakes Region Conference was action packed from start to finish! We heard from our honored guests, GFWC International President Suellen Brazil and GFWC President-elect Wendy Carriker; the 2026–2028 GLR Executive Committee was elected; the 2025 GFWC Great Lakes Region LEADS graduates gave their speeches, and the GFWC Great Lakes Region Jennie Award nominees were introduced. We were also treated to many wonderful presentations from GFWC chairmen and others. Here are a few photos from today!

The 2025 GFWC Great Lakes Region Conference in Columbus Ohio, is underway with GLR President Rose Logston presiding. GFWC International President Suellen Brazil and GFWC President-elect Wendy Carriker are in attendance, along with over 100 members from the five-state region. Today's activities included a tour of the Ohio Statehouse, lunch at The Old Bag of Nails Pub, and a tour of Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens including a glass-blowing demonstration. In the evening, we enjoyed the "Ohio – The Heart of It All" State Night Banquet, dancing to the music of Insured Sound, and a reception for our GFWC and GLR officers. Kudos to GFWC Ohio for all of the work they have done to put on such a terrific conference! Here are some photos from the day. Click on the photos for captions.
