It's tax times. I know a lot of folks have this question. Here's the answer.

If you are a single member LLC, you would file your business income and expenses on Schedule C which is filed with your personal income tax return. (unless you elect with the IRS to file as a corporation).

Information just in case you didn't know.

There are two different trademark levels.

*You have a state trademark of 50-100 depending on what state you are in, and then you have a federal trademark.

Let me break this down

*A state trademark only covers you inside your state lines. It doesn't protect your business or brand in other states.
Meaning your business can be duplicated by other people in other states legally.

*A federal trademark, however, gives you national coverage for your business, logo, and or slogans being used by anyone else in the US.

*USPTO witch is the United States Patent and Trademark Office, does your federal trademark on a US level, and your local SOS does your local trademark.

*A state trademark doesn't cover you nationally, but a national trademark protects you everywhere. This is why people rather pay the $250-275 for the national brand instead of the $50 one with the state.

The reason my business is successful. Is because I don't worry about who has the same business. Because, everyone won't run it the same. And, I do my research. Like someone told me about the bread aisle. There are many brands. But, they are all selling. And, they all have their own fan base. So, don't give up on something because you think too many people are doing that already. Find a way to be different.
